Hello I'm 40 years, left leg amputed above knee. I've practice basketball fourteen years but, in 2000 (bone cancer), my left leg was amputed above knee. My above-knee prosthetic leg consists of many parts: a socket that fits the residual limb, a knee, a aluminium pylon for the lower leg, and a foot (27 cm.). My actualy knee is otto bock 3R80 (used 8 years...now, the knee's performance is nule-zero) and the foot is 1D10 (otto bock http://www.ottobock.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/ob_uk_en/hs.xsl/5773.html ),used 4 years too. My son is 16 years, is athlete, hurdles, romanian cadet champ in 2007 (Search Vlad Costras on google). I wish you best regards and health!
